AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Labs are being established in various institutions across the country to encourage students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fundamentals through hands-on experience, learning by doing, and product visualization. The labs aim to develop students' imaginative and creative abilities while also equipping them with 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, design thinking, collaboration, communication, and lifelong learning. The IDEA Lab will serve as a common facility within institution, providing infrastructure for faculty to promote multidisciplinary education and research. Faculty will be encouraged to get trained in these labs and create problems/projects/internships in their own subjects/disciplines to mentor students. In short, DJSCE’s AICTE IDEA Lab can empower students and faculty to engage, explore, experience, express, and excel, meeting the demands of new-age learning.
